Minnesota Lottery needed to reintroduce and promote its Gopher 5 game with new energy that felt fresh, ownable and aligned with the brand’s platform of inviting people to say “I’MN” to spontaneous fun. We knew we needed a way in that was instantly recognizable and impossible to ignore.

Meet Gopher 5, a party animal who shows up where Minnesotans gather to prove that when you say “I’MN,” fun follows. Created using a custom CGI model, AI-driven animation and live-action footage, Gopher 5 looks at home in the real world while avoiding the IP concerns that can arise with AI production.
